2020 Vision, Roy S. Neuberger’s riveting tale about a massive Islamic terror attack which cripples the United States and the Western world in the year 2020, will hit bookstores in Israel during on September, 2007, almost 11 – six years to the day to the day after New York’s Twin Towers were destroyed. It grippingly portrays the harrowing adventures confronting a small band of American Jews attempting to reach Israel in the ensuing anarchy.

“The shock of 9-11-01 has receded.  Maybe it has receded too much!  Do you think the threat has passed?  It’s worse than ever, but our eyes are closed,” said Neuberger, author of the best-selling FROM CENTRAL PARK TO SINAI and the thought-provoking WORLDSTORM.  “We need clear vision. As they say in America, “2020 VISION”!  The entire Western World is under attack, but the Islamic World is also vulnerable.  As usual, the Jewish People are at the precise point where the two worlds collide!  This is the story of survival in a world that seems to be collapsing.”

2020 Vision offers a Jewish take on Armageddon, one of the hottest publishing phenomenaon in the United States today. The Armageddon-themed “Left Behind” series alone has sold more than 62 million copies. According to Newsweek, one in eight Americans reads books about the end of the world. The San Francisco Chronicle reported sales figures for this genre exceed $1 billion.
What’s behind the US phenomenon? “As the world gets increasingly scary,” Newsweek wrote, “with much of the trouble centered in the Mideast …even secular Americans sometimes wonder (or at least wonder if they ought to start wondering) whether there might not be something to this End Times stuff.”

Neuberger, a former newspaper publisher and hedge-fund manager, dares to imagine a terrifying apocalypse, drawing on the Hebrew Prophets and Jewish tradition to confront modern man’s most frightening reality, but also to provide a realistic basis for hope. Indeed, the book launch also coincides with Rosh Hashannah 5768.

The author divides his time between New York and Jerusalem. He and his wife, Leah, lecture about the themes in Roy’s books on three continents. Law and Order TV Star Steven Hill is an enthusiastic Neuberger reader. "You will pick up this book and be unable to put it down. At the end, you will only say: more, more, more!," Hill raved about From Central Park to Sinai.
2020 will be available in bookstores throughout the country.
