THOUGHTS FROM MOUNT ZION
Dear Friends:
Do you know where Zion is?
Every day we pray "may our eyes behold Your return to Zion in compassion."
But exactly where is Zion?
My wife and I spent the first night and day of Shavuos at the Diaspora Yeshiva. The Yeshiva, which is only about a hundred yards outside the Zion Gate of the Old City, shares Mount Zion with a massive church, from which the papal flag is currently draped. Lest you forget the church is there, bells ring every quarter hour to remind you. The Vatican is desperately trying to buy the Yeshiva's property, so that the Holy Mountain will no longer be polluted by the presence of Jews.
The view from the Diaspora Yeshiva is breathtaking. At night you look out over the lights twinkling on the Mount of Olives and you literally gasp at what lies before you. I was reminded of an emotionally explosive scene from my book, 2020 VISION.
Across the valley from the Mount of Olives, the Arabs are trying to destroy evidence under the Temple Mount that the Children of Israel have lived here for thousands of years and that this is the site of the First and Second Temples.
A very holy Jew told me a few days ago that evidence of the sanctity of a place is provided by the amount of tuma, impurity that is drawn to it. Like moths to a flame, the Moslem presence on The Temple Mount and the Vatican presence on Mount Zion are drawn there because they know that these are the holiest places on earth. They cannot bear to see the Children of Israel returning in sanctity to our ancient Holy Land. The Pope and the leaders of the Moslem nations are passionately united in their zeal to drive the Children of Israel out of our Holy Land. The ancient dream of the "Final Solution of the Jewish Problem" lives on.
"Ki mi Tzion taitzai Torah u'dvar Hashem mi Yerushalayim," from Zion Torah will go forth and the Word of G-d from Jerusalem. [1]
Enemies of Israel, if you understood that G-d is Real, you would not dare to lift a finger against His Children and His Holy City. Your actions make it abundantly clear that, like the Generation of the Tower of Babel, you are trying to fight G-d Himself. Since you cannot reach Him, you attack His Children and the Holy Sites where He has chosen to reveal His Presence.
Why are the Moslems on The Temple Mount and the Vatican on Mount Zion?
The Moslems descend from Ishmael, who is described in the Holy Torah as "pe're adam," a "wild ass of a man." [2] Their mosques pollute the Temple Mount, the site of the First, Second and future Third Temple, may we see it soon in our days! In that Temple, G-d commanded His Children to perform the animal sacrifices through which we and the entire world were granted redemption from our animal behavior which, since the time of the Garden of Eden, has threatened to destroy the world which G-d created in sanctity. The descendants of the "pe're adam" desire with all their zeal to prevent the return of the Holy Temple because it spells eternal doom for their animalistic way of life. Thus, they erect their shrines of impurity upon the Temple Mount, hoping to prevent the return of sanctity to the world.
The Vatican sits upon Mount Zion. Why? Because its entire existence is based upon trying to make a deity out of materialism. Their form of idolatry is to claim that G-d is a human being. Their legacy, the hallmark of Rome/Edom, is the mastery of the physical world, the building of roads, bridges and tall buildings, the proliferation of trade and commerce, [3] all of which will turn to dust and ashes.
Every day we say, "May our eyes behold Your return to Zion in compassion." We pray for the restoration of the Shechina, the Presence of G-d to Mount Zion. The Vatican desperately tries to prevent the Return of the Shechina, because it knows that idolatry will be spectacularly and eternally annihilated at the very moment the Presence of G-d returns. The entire existence of the Vatican depends upon resisting with all its strength the Return of G-d's Presence to Mount Zion, and so, like a giant scorpion, it sits there, trying to sting and paralyze the Children of Israel as we return in sanctity to our Holy City.
Children of Ishmael, the Moslem Nations, and Children of Esau, the Western Nations: know that your days, hours, minutes and seconds are limited. As we say on Shavuos, "G-d came from the south and the Holy One came of Old from Mount Paran; His glory covered the heavens and His praise filled the earth.... Before it went a plague and fiery flashes went forth as it advanced. It came to a halt and measured portions of the Land; it gazed and caused nations to flee; the eternal mountains exploded; the ancient hills were laid low; for the ways of the world are His." [4]
Before you are eternally humbled, you who reek of impurity and idolatry, bow down before the Eternal G-d and flee before the Children of Israel. "It is said: G-d will be King over all the world, on that day G-d will be One and his Name will be One." [5] As the moths fly into the flame, they are destroyed. The Light of G-d is about to flash over the entire world. All His Children will return in sanctity to our Holy Land and His Name will be One when our Redeemer comes in Glory to Zion.
The day cannot be far off, my friends, and those who cling with love to G-d and His Torah will see it.
